Our Annual Troupe Bonding Weekend is a special event that kicks off our competitive season, and our 2025 launch was filled with energy, purpose, and heart. 💖🧡
From full-studio performances and bonding games to parent support sessions and teacher feedback circles—this weekend was a powerful reflection of our core values:

🎠Family & Friends Showcase: A Studio-Wide Celebration
We finished our weekend with an exciting whole-studio performance, giving families and friends the chance to watch our 2025 troupe dancers debut their routines for the very first time.
These performances are more than a sneak peek—they’re a celebration of hardwork, determination, and the growth already taking place. Whether it was our 6/U or 14/U dancers, each student danced their hearts out. 💖🧡
📝 Teacher Feedback – Leading by Example
After the performances, our teaching team took time reflection and provided eachother with tips and ideas for each routine.
This part of the weekend is all about professional growth and leadership—because at KICO, we believe in being students too. Our team provided constructive feedback, support, and encouragement to one another, modelling the same resilience and openness we ask of our dancers.

🔄 Focused Rehearsals: Progress Over Perfection
Each age group had rehearsal blocks throughout the weekend to refine their troupe routines. These sessions were about more than choreography—they reinforced discipline, teamwork, and what it means to show up consistently.
From learning musicality and formation changes to cleaning details and developing performance quality, these rehearsals gave dancers the tools to thrive on stage and off. 🧡

We believe in building strong teams by creating meaningful connections—and that starts with fun!
Across the weekend, each age group participated in bonding games like:

These activities brought laughter, leadership, and love, strengthening relationships within and across age groups. They reminded us that kindness builds culture, and every dancer deserves to feel seen, supported, and celebrated.

One of our favourite parts of the weekend was seeing dancers of all ages come together for full-studio bonding moments.
Whether it was our youngest dancers looking up to their senior role models or teens encouraging the little ones during a challenge, the studio was filled with a powerful sense of belonging and unity.
This is what Connection at KICO looks like—students supporting one another across age groups, teams merging into one family, and everyone feeling part of something bigger. 💖🧡
🌟 Inspiring Workshops for Every Dancer
Throughout the weekend, our 8's, 10's, 12's & 14's participated in dedicated workshops designed to uplift and inspire. These workshops gave students a chance to try new things, receive personalised guidance, and build confidence in a safe and supportive environment.
Cheering each other on, sharing in breakthroughs, and embracing new challenges—these workshops were filled with energy and pride. 💫
🎀 Parent Support & Studio Education
While our dancers were growing in the classroom, our families were learning too! We hosted parent information sessions covering:
